John David Woodall, 76, of Roanoke, VA (formerly of Stuart, VA) died on October 4, 2020 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart, VA. Born on June 8, 1944 in Martinsville, VA and was the son of Ethel Flippin and John Preston Woodall.
He retired from United States Postal Service in Roanoke, VA and worked as a writer for the Enterprise Paper in Stuart and Martinsville Bulletin. David and his mother (Ethel) owned and operated Woodall grocery in Stuart. He was all about his high school class and the community he grew up in.
David had a big interest in the way of life that once was. He enjoyed amusement parks, going to antique car shows and especially working with Stuart High School reunion and keeping in touch with his friends from “the good ole days”.
A special thank you to his friend and caregiver, David King of Wakefield, VA and loving neighbors, Cecil and Shirley Wilkerson and their sons Mark and Jason of Roanoke, VA, Angie Houtz and David Gavel.
