The Southside Volleyball Club is holding tryouts to establish travel teams for the upcoming 2016-2017 travel season. Tryouts will be held November 13 at Patrick County High School from 1 to 3 p.m. for 15 years old and over; under 15 is from 3 to 5 p.m.
There is a $25 tryout fee; make checks payable to Southside Volleyball Club.
Once an athlete makes the team, she will have to register with the Old Dominion Region to get a participant card.
Each team will play in four tournaments in Virginia. Tournaments usually begin in January and finish in March. Teams practice every Sunday afternoon and usually once during the week.
The total cost after tryouts is $50 for registration and $200 for each player. This helps to pay for one jersey and tournament entry fees. The team will also have flyers sponsorship if needed.
