The Patrick County High School junior varsity basketball Cougars fell to Bassett last Wednesday night by a score of 39-30.
According to Coach Tony Mosley, the JV Cougars got off to a good start against a good Bassett team, but the team’s inability to consistently score kept the team from winning.
“Defensively, I thought we played a great game,” he said. “Bryson Fulcher played a great game; his determination showed throughout the game, especially on the boards,” Mosley said.
Leading scorer was Bryson Fulcher with nine points. DaeShawn Penn also scored nine points.
Patrick County hosted Tunstall Tuesday night. They play at Blacksburg Wednesday and will host George Washington of Danville Friday.
