Patrick County girls took a 41-11 loss Friday night against Magna Vista.
The Lady Cougars played from behind the entire contest Friday night. They were led in scoring by Samantha Harris who had 7 points for the night. Tessa Haas, Allanah Mitchell and Shauntel Hill were all contributing scorers for the Cougars.
Magna Vista’s defense was very aggressive forcing 38 turnovers for the game. They not only beat the Lady Cougars on the scoreboard but they also won the battle of the boards grabbing 16 more rebounds than Patrick County.
The Warriors led in scoring by Alyssa Woods, who came away with 11 points. Dee Dee Giggetts was second in scoring with 8. Jamina Hairston and Nala Preston both had 6 points. Jade Preston, Samiah Clark, Iviyan Dandridge and Samya Hairston-Williams combined for the remainder of the Warriors points.
