Patrick County defeated Bassett 46-25 on the road January 25.
The Cougars were ahead at the end of the first quarter and took a 23-14 lead into the locker room at halftime. Patrick County didn’t let up, outscoring the Lady Bengals 23-11 in the second half.
“It was a good team win for the Lady Cougars,” said Coach Donny Rakes. “We hadn’t played in twelve days due to the weather, and it really showed in our conditioning and execution. With that said, the effort defensively was excellent, and that was really the difference in the game.”
Missy Hazard had 10 points, five rebounds, one steal, and six assists.
Abigail Epperson had 10 points, five rebounds, one steal and two assists.
Samantha Harris had seven points, four rebounds, and one steal.
