The Patrick County High School Lady Cougar softball team jumped out to an early lead over Tunstall last Tuesday and took home a 9-2 win.
The Lady Cougars scored on doubles by Hanna Hylton, a single by Savannah Moorefield and a double by Makenzie Watts in the second inning.
Cassady Largen earned the win for PC on the mound. She went seven innings, and allowed only two runs, five hits and struck out eight Lady Trojans.
Patrick County had 15 hits in the game: Watts, Morgan Biggs, Melanie Roberson, Moorefield and Hylton each collected multiple hits for the Lady Cougars. Sydney Biggs and Watts had three hits for PC.
The Lady Cougars did not commit a single error in the field.
