The PCHS Lady Cougars’ overwhelming performance last Friday night at North Stokes highlighted why the team is 5-0 on the season.
The team’s defense held the Vikings to a mere 4 points in the 1st quarter and jumped to a 15-point lead.
By halftime, the Cougars commanding 46-15 lead put the game out of reach.
Offensively, four players scored in double digits — Sierra Hubbard had 16 points, Hannah Roberson with 14 points, Izzy Beasley had 12 points including two 3 pointers, and Abigail Epperson had 11 points.
The Cougar’s bench helped in the team efforts, as all the Cougars that suited up scored in the game.
The team also recorded 27 rebounds and 18 steals.
Head Coach Donny Rakes said the team played “fast and hard.” It was a total team effort, he added.
The team has three games scheduled for next week.
