The Varsity Girls Basketball Team lost 30-41 Friday night when they hosted the Lady Eagles.
Allanah Mitchell had 7 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 1 assist. Missy Hazard had 6 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals. Kimora Wimbush had 5 points, 5 steals, and 3 rebounds while Taylor Edwards had 4 points and 1 rebound.
“It was a tough night for our kids,” said Coach Donny Rakes. “We are playing short-handed; when that happens, you can’t afford to miss lay ups and foul shots and expect to have a chance. You have to take advantage of those opportunities, and we didn’t. It was a close game in the first half, then they made a run, and we didn’t respond. We will regroup and focus on the post season.”
The Lady Cougars finished the regular season 12-10 and 7-5 in Piedmont.
