Volleyball season is quickly approaching, and the Patrick County High School Lady Cougars are gearing up for action. They hosted the Floyd County High School Lady Buffaloes last Thursday in a scrimmage for varsity, JV and middle school teams.
“It was a good starting point for the season,” said Coach Heidi Moore. “We were able to see what worked well and what needs to be improved on before our next scrimmage,” she added.
A large turnout for all three scrimmage in the Cougar gyms promises strong support for the season.
The Lady Cougars will travel to Auburn High School Thursday for another scrimmage. Their first regular season match is slated for Monday, August 22, at North Stokes High School. Match time is 5:30 p.m. for JV with varsity following at 7 p.m.
