The Patrick County High School Lady Cougar volleyball team hosted Auburn High School last Tuesday evening.
According to Coach Heidi Moore, the team “hit the ball a lot better than we did in the previous scrimmage.” She also added, “Our defense played well which was an improvement over the Mount Airy scrimmage.”
“We are ready for the first game on Tuesday. The ladies continue to work hard to improve individual skills as well as team skills, and they are encouraging each other,” she said. “We look forward to the beginning of the season,” Moore added.
Patrick County has two games this week: they played at Carroll County Tuesday (yesterday) and will host Floyd County Thursday with middle school starting at 4:30 p.m., JV at 5:30 and varsity at 7 p.m.
