The Patrick County High School Lady Cougar volleyball team recorded its second win last Thursday night when they hosted the Christiansburg Lady Demons and won in five sets: 25-22, 24-26, 25-15 and 25-22.
Senior Abby Hutchens led the Lady Cougars with 17 kills and six aces. Melanie Roberson had 34 assists and six aces. Sydney Biggs had eight kills and 14 digs.
“We played a tough Conference 32 team and came out with our second win of the season—I am proud of how the ladies responded to a strong team like Christiansburg,” Coach Heidi Moore said.
The Lady Cougars hosted Tunstall Tuesday night and Wednesday (today) they travel to Carroll County for a match.
