The Varsity and JV Cougar teams both picked up a win on August 26 at Dan River High School.
The Varsity Cougars won in three straight sets 25-17. 25-15, and 25-17.
Lainie Hopkins had 17 assists, 6 kills, 8 digs, and 4 aces. Suzanne Gonzalez had 11 kills and 9 digs. Samantha Harris had 5 kills, 7 digs, 2 blocks, and 1 ace.
The varsity record is 2-1.
The JV Lady Cougars defeated Dan River in 2 sets, with the scores of 25-17 and 25-22.
Journey Moore had 14 aces while contributing 6 digs, 3 kills, and receiving 6 points for the match. Madi Heath had 8 points, 2 kills, and 1 ace. Eliza Clifton had 5 aces and 3 assists, and Camille Gonzalez had 5 assists for the match.
The JV Cougars are 1-2.
The teams traveled to North Stokes August 31.
