Larry Grant Foley, age 72, of Stuart, died at Roanoke Memorial Hospital Saturday, June 4, 2016.
He was born in Missouri on September 18, 1943 and was a son of the late Homer Foley and Dorothy Oviatt Foley. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Robert Foley.
He retired from the timber business after many years of service and had spent the last few years operating a bulldozer for John Hopkins.
Surviving are his loving wife of 53 years, Josie Neely Foley of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Harold Jones of Stuart, and Janet and Gerald Hylton of Stuart; one son, Larry Grant Foley Jr., and Debbie Miller of Stuart; two grandchildren, Jeremy Jones and wife Caroline and Montana Young; two great-granddaughters, Analeigh Jones and Maelynn Jones; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Sumner Ray and Dell Foley, Terry Joe and Nancy Foley, and Wesley and Karen Foley, all of Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ada Jean and John Moeller of Florida, and Karen Sue and Richard Day of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Connie Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Elamsville Church of God of Prophecy Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
