Becky Turner, treasurer for the Taking Roots group, presents Patrick County Master Gardener Ed Coleman a check for $1,000 to be used in the Learning Garden program conducted by the Patrick County Master Gardeners. The group leads gardening classes and hands on workshops. Joining in the presentation are Master Gardener Norma Bozenmayer, Taking Roots member Ann McConnell, Master Gardener Chelsea Perez, and son Julian.
The hands on workshops are conducted the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon at 1208 Tudor Orchard Road in Patrick Springs. The next workshop is June 19.
