School Board
The Patrick County School board meets this Thursday, Jan. 12, at 5:30 p.m. in the Patrick County School Board office. Board members will elect a chairperson and vice chairperson; appoint a clerk, and appoint a deputy clerk. The school board chairperson will appoint school board representatives to various committees.
Also on the agenda is a reaffirmation and adoption of the Virginia School Board Association Code of Conduct, plus announcements regarding the VSBA Capital Conference in Richmond and the Hot Topic Conference. All school board meetings include a closed session in which board members discuss personnel and disciplinary matters.
Economic Development Authority
The Economic Development Authority will hold its regularly scheduled meeting this Thursday, Jan. 12, at 7 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building. Please see the story on Page 1 for details.
Planning Commission
The Patrick County Planning Commission will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 17, at 6 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building.
Tourism Advisory Council
The Tourism Advisory Council of Patrick County is scheduled to meet on Thursday, Jan. 19, at 6 p.m. in the second-floor conference room of the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building.
Board of Supervisors
The Patrick County Board of Supervisors meeting previously scheduled for Monday, Jan. 9, has been rescheduled for Monday, Jan. 23. The board will meet at 6 p.m. in the Patrick County Veterans’ Memorial Building. Please see the story on page X for additional details.
