Maudie Ellen Russ, 69, of Collinsville, died Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Richlands on January 20, 1947, and was a daughter of the late Allen Brown and Pearl Lowe Brown. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Edward Brown.
She was retired after 18 years with Biscuitville as a cashier. She was a member of Stone Memorial Christian Church.
Surviving are two daughters; Donna Via of Martinsville, and Vicky Hammond of Collinsville; three sisters, Nancy Brown Hines of Martinsville, Barbara Brown Russell of Stuart, and Connie Brown Boyd of South Boston; two brothers, Tommy Lee Brown of Collinsville and Donnie Ray Brown of North Carolina; and three grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life Service was held Friday in the Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Minister. Tim Wood officiating.
