The Meadows of Dan community gathered for dinner and a play at the elementary school on December 2.
Sixth and seventh grade students performed “Oz Interactive”, written by Peter Holland of Meadows of Dan and based on Frank Baum’s “Wizard of Oz.”
The cast included Isaac Wood as Story Teller; William Royall, Samuel Hubbard, and Jarred Horton as See No, Hear No, and Speak No; Lydia Hylton as Aunt Em; Jimmy Epperly as Uncle Henry; Keiko Klisiewecz as Dorothy; Josh Shelton as Toto; Isaac Wood as Mayor of the Munchkins; Lydia Hylton as Glenda; Jessica Handy as the Wicked Witch; Jimmy Epperly as Scarecrow; Michael Polzella as the Tin Man; Steven Belton as the Cowardly Lion; Andrew Bouldin as the Head Guard; and Ben Holland served as stage manager.
Proceeds from the play will be used for the sixth and seventh grade class field trip to Washington, D.C. The play raised over $1,000 toward the school trip.
