The PCHS Middle School Golf Team travelled to Great Oaks Country Club on Sept. 25. The Cougars shot a 185, beating Floyd County who shot a 234. Noah Jessup was the medalist for PC with a 40. Jordan Harris shot a 43, Miller Hopkins shot a 45, and Dillon Hodges and Tucker Swails both shot a 47. This was the Cougars third win in a row.
On Oct. 3, Patrick County hosted a golf match at Gordon Trent Golf Course. Franklin County won the match with a score of 173. Halifax was second with a 155, Patrick County came in 3rd with a 179, followed by Martinsville with a 233. Noah Jessup led the Cougars with a 41, Tucker Swails shot a 42, Dylan Hodges shot a 48, and Jordan Harris finished with a 48. The Cougars will have their last match at Halifax on Thursday.
