Middle School Golf Team finishes third

The Patrick County Middle School Golf Team travelled to Willow Creek in Rocky Mount on Aug. 19.
Franklin County came out on top with a score of 172 Halifax shot a 175 for second place, followed by Patrick County with a 182. Martinsville came in fourth place, shooting a 203.
Tucker Swails and Miller Hopkins led the Cougars, each shooting a 42. Jordan Harris shot a 48, followed by Noah Jessup with a 51.
Coach Ryan Pendleton said, “the Cougars played very well with just one returning player from last year. I am looking forward to the fast improvement of our 13-member team.”
