By Ashlee Mullis

Patrick County High School Senior, Journey Moore, signed her letter of intent to play softball at Towson University.

“As a little girl, I always dreamed of playing college softball at a high level. In December of my junior year of high school, I committed to Towson University to play college softball and continue my academic career. My commitment has meant so much to me because it truly is a dream come true. On November 12, I received my National Letter of Intent and signed it as soon as I got the chance. November 14 will forever be a special day for me because of all my friends, family, and coaches who came to support me at my signing party,” Moore said. “

I want to say thank you to everyone who came and supported me, not just on November 14 but also throughout my whole softball career. To the little girl I used to be, I want to say we did it, and our dreams did come true,” she added.

Attending the signing were (front, l-r) Brother Tristan Moore, Father Dwayne Moore, Journey Moore, Mother Heidi Moore; (back, l-r) Coach David Martin, PCHS Coach Brett Belcher, PCHS Head Coach Ryan Pendleton, PCHS Coach Brian Hubbard, Travel Softball Coach Jerry Throckmorton, PCHS Principal Hope Perry
