It really got chilly and the frost was on the pumpkins in some parts of Patrick County. We have had some beautiful days.
The Veterans’ Day parade was beautiful and very touching with a nice crowd. The Patrick County High School band did great with the music. I want to tell a special young man, Caleb Poythress, how handsome he looked in his uniform.
I enjoyed the monthly breakfast at Providence United Methodist Church, and it was nice to have Pastor Marion Poythress eat with me. Later Mike and Sue Hall came along with several of Sue’s family, and I got to meet her mom and several others.
The Holiday Bazaar at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church was interesting with a lot of vendors and some delicious food.
Guess what? Larry Martin picked some beautiful green beans out of his late garden last week, and he and Teresa gave me some. They were delicious. That late garden did well. The reason that Larry’s late garden does so well is because he always shares a lot with others.
On Tuesday instead of soup when I went to the Soup Kitchen, they had my eight boxes packed with a big surprise—spaghetti, salad, bread, and dessert. Thanks to a lot of nice folks for making this possible. You surely made a lot of people happy. It was delicious and all the people on my route loved it.
A special lady in my neighborhood is celebrating her birthday. On November 15, Vera Plasters was 101 years old. I always look forward to seeing her every Thursday and talking with her. Happy birthday, pretty lady, and I love you. God bless.
I was so sorry to hear of the death of Ellis Ayers. He was my insurance man for years. I’ll always remember his kindness at the time of my loss of Ronald and Chris. My love and heartfelt sympathy go to the family.
It was nice to hear from my cousin, Shirlien Belcher. She told me that her Uncle Isaac Boyd had passed away. I was so sorry to hear that.
Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family of Jerry Martin, son of Lawrence and Peggy Martin. This family has been our friends for years. God bless you.

Remember you can pray to the Lord anytime, anywhere, about anything. Sometimes I pray a lot as I drive along on our country roads.
