In our area we really needed some rain and were blessed to get some. Things surely perked up.
I enjoy seeing all the fall decor in people’s yards. My neighbors, the Hiatts, have a pretty fall display in front.
It was really good to hear Pastor James Shough speak at the PSPHC on Sunday.
Neighbors Larry and Teresa Martin enjoyed a camping and horseback riding trip recently. Maybe they can get in a few more before cold weather.
The Providence United Methodist Church’s first of the month breakfast was well attended, and as usual, the food was delicious. I was happy to eat breakfast with Sue Hall and also Pastor Marion and Caleb and some others. It’s a good time of fellowship for everyone.
I was so sorry to hear of the death of Fred Helms. He was raided on the mountain and was a brother to my dear friends Loveda and Dorothy. My love and heartfelt sympathy goes to the family.
I surely did enjoy hearing Pastor Rayton Puckett speak at the New Beginnings Church. He really can keep your attention. Singing by Pastor Joe Cerino, with Eric Sheppard and Nick Goad, was so wonderful. He’s quite a musician. The Jesus House has been quite busy switching the clothing from summer to fall and winter, There’s always something to do there.
I always enjoy my daily chats with Claudine Wood up on the mountain. She tells me what’s happening on the mountain and I keep her informed with what’s happening in Patrick Springs.
It’s time for the Lord’s Acre Sale. I love to go and see all the people and see all the crafts and goodies, eat homemade ice cream, shop a bit, and listen to some pretty gospel music from different churches. It’s a good time for everyone.
Thanks to the Men’s Ministry at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church for another delicious meal. Don’t forget Hallelujah Harvest night October 28. Come and enjoy lots of candy, food, games, a cake walk, and this year a Gospel Hayride has been added. Hope to see you there.
Remember: Better a stormy day with the Lord than a sunny day without him.

If you cannot preach like Peter, if you can’t pray like Paul, you can tell the love of Jesus and say “He died for all.” (from a traditional spiritual)
