I’m back again – not in full force but better. Thank you for your prayers and concern. I have got cards from all over the U.S. A lot had nice notes. Also thanks to friends and neighbors, Larry and Teresa for helping me to get to doctor appointments. I’ll be in therapy for 3 or 4 weeks – just keep me in your prayers.
I had a really good experience the other day when I had to go to the Bone Center in Mount Airy, N.C. Thelma Lou, from the Andy Griffith show, was there. At the age of 92, she looked great, smiling and talking. We held hands and talked for a bit. Mount Airy, N.C. sure has a lot of history and it is a pretty town.
The weather has been cool and damp, it really goes to my bones. That’s what happens when you get old. I’m trying to grow old gracefully as I can. Not easy!!
I had a pretty card from my step-son down in Moorehead City, N.C. It’s always so good to hear from him.
The Christmas cactus that Connell sent me is still beautiful. Everyone that sees it just can’t believe it’s so big, and the Women’s Ministry arrangement is still looking good.
Sure did enjoy my neighbor coming to visit on Saturday and I’m really enjoying the fruit salad and the little biscuits with that delicious ham filling. Mrs. Simmons you sure did make my day good.
Then I got a get well card from them the same day. Thank you for everything.
A big thank you to Sue Hall for bringing pizza from Elizabeth’s on Tuesday night. It was delicious and I ate two big slices.
Thanks to Teresa for bringing all that good food to me since I can’t do much and get out.
It was good to hear from Genevieve Starkey. Sorry to hear she had fallen and got hurt. Put her on your prayer list.
Heartfelt sympathy to the family of Joni Hunt. Keep them in your prayers.
I was saddened to hear of the death of Mr. Allen Campo. He was a very nice man with a sweet spirit. I always enjoyed seeing Allen when he stopped at Green’s Country Store to get tomatoes. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to Wanda and the entire family.
