Sunday was a good day. Alan had the Hebrew class for 2 hours and had a lot of study, so interesting. Pastor James Shough had the message and it was very good. I love James and Regina. It was a good day.
I had Sunday lunch at Charles and Gloria Biggs’ home. As usual, Gloria did lots of good things. She had the prettiest topping for a banana pudding that I had ever seen. She is a talented cook. Thanks for inviting me.
So sorry to hear of the death of Mr. Coy Belcher. My love and sympathy goes out to the family.
Every time I go to Alan Rakes’ Hebrew class. I’m always amazed at the knowledge he has. He is so nice and friendly.
The meeting of the Soup Kitchen at Van and Donna Rowe’s turned out well. I enjoyed seeing everyone. It was so good to see Danny Hundley there. Donna had the best zucchini bread. It was so delicious that I ate two slices. If nothing happens, they will open up last of August. It was a very good meeting. Mollie, the dog, was so cute dressed up and enjoying everyone. It was a good evening. I’m glad my route will be the same as always. I love my people.
I enjoyed a “big” ham and cheese sub at Elizabeth’s Pizza. So big, I had two meals. I always enjoy going there and seeing my favorite people. They are a joy.
I’m enjoying my Amish books that Edie gave me. I found one at the library about an Amish candy shop and a pot belly pet. It was so funny, I laughed all the way through.
“Miss” Claudine is still doing good and enjoying the hummingbirds. I’m like her, I will hate to see them go.
Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family or Mr. Freddie Lee Hiatt. I wonder how much candy he gave away in his lifetime. I’m sure it was a lot. I have enjoyed a few pieces myself.
The men’s ministry sure did fix a big meal on Wednesday – ham and cheese sandwiches, baked beans, macaroni salad, and they gave big servings. Also, we had some great music with some electric guitar playing. It was a good evening.
Mary Ann called from D.C. and it’s always good to hear her voice and know what’s happening in her world. In turn, I can tell her all the news back here.
Food for thought – God provides the wind, but we must raise the sails. The other day I saw in my devotion book this-“God collects the tears we cry and each one touches His heart.”

Pictured is a rock that weighted 30 pounds that rolled and hit my neighbor, Connie Greer, on top of her head. It rolled 9 and 1/2 feet down and fell on her head – it took 3 staples and 2 CT scans. She lost blood. The good news is that Connie is healing, but she still has headaches. Keep her in your prayers.
