The Enterprise gave me a huge and I do mean HUGE box of chocolates. It’s going to be hard to just eat one a day. Thank you so much.I enjoyed a visit with “Miss Caroline” and Chuck the other day. She gave me some jam.
It was nice to get a call from Harold Smart, brother of Fred Smart, from Charlottesville. He takes The Enterprise. I’m always happy to hear from the readers. When I went to the mailbox on Saturday, I got a beautiful Christmas card from Elizabeth’s Pizza with a pretty verse on it. Then I got a gift certificate from a “secret” admirer” to Elizabeth’s Pizza. Thank you so much whoever you are. I shall enjoy using this nice gift. Makes me almost believe in Santa Claus.
I enjoyed a visit with my new neighbor during the snow. She walked over to check on me. Thank you, I’m enjoying their Christmas lights from my house at night.
Some of the Simmons family were out with the children on Sunday morning in the snow. Two neighborhood dogs had joined the fun. Thanks for getting my Martinsville Bulletin. Good neighbors are a treasure.
It was nice to hear from cousin Joyce Sweeney. She sent me some lovely photos of the family. I’ll be using them later in the Party Line. They have moved to a 11 1/2 “on a compound” as they call it. Sounds really interesting to me. Joyce is from Meadows of Dan so everyone on the mountain knows her, Joyce Boyd Sweeney.
The soup kitchen made some delicious taco soup—surely did hit the spot on a cold day. Thank you for mine.
