It looked like a winter wonderland after the sleet and ice. There wasn’t a big amount, but enough to be dangerous, and it was a pretty scene.
The other day when I went into Elizabeth’s Pizza, Edie Lemons invited me to eat with her. I enjoyed our time together. During the bad weather, I enjoyed some Amish books that Edie bought me. A lot of people enjoy the Amish books.
The Food Ministry helped a lot of people in 2018. It helped a grand total of 21,171 people. We were also blessed to have a lot of food.
Mary Ann was good to check on me from D.C. during the bad weather. She got a lot of snow in her area.
The Soup Kitchen did bag meals this week – two different kinds of soup and some of that delicious homemade bread by Kim. That homemade bread is as good as a slice of cake.
Sure was nice to see Pastor Mary Sue Terry the other day. She has always been on my favorite people list. She is a Pastor at the Woolwine Methodist Church. It’s a beautiful church. Beverly Woody and I went in it when we went to Rock Castle Gorge Historian meeting.
“Miss” Claudine Wood said they got snow, sleet when the weather came in, but they kept power also.
So sorry to hear of the death of Mr. J.A. Midkiff. He was a well known fiddle player and a barber. Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family.
Food for thought – Isaiah 46-4 says – even in your old age, I am he, even when you turn gray, I will carry you. Those who trust in the Lord may die with an aged body, but they die young in spirit.
