It seems there is always something to do in the summer. One thing for sure I never do get bored. Weeds always seem to thrive, don’t they — Rainy or dry weather.
I was sorry to hear of the death of Kaye Williams. My love and heartfelt sympathy goes out to the family.
Thanks to my lovely cousins Judy Hughes and Jessie Lou Fain for the lovely photos they sent me for the Party Line.
I was so happy when Van and Donna Rowe come by to see me. Sweet little Mollie the dog was along for the ride, also.
Lately, there’s been a lot of fog on the mountain. “Miss” Claudine Wood said it was bad at times, also she still gets excited for her big 98th birthday party.
Sure was good to hear Mike Hall sing at church on Wednesday night and Dwane joined in on the last song. Just like old times. I was glad Sue(Mike’s wife) could come also. It sure made my day to be with them again.
I had a letter from my flower friend, Pauline Martin of Rocky Mount, N.C. Seems she is seeing some wildlife these days. There was a big turtle in the yard and the squirrels came by and ate the tomatoes. They were drinking my hummingbird nectar a few years ago from the feeder. Then Dr. Locke Boyce told me to use tin shaped like a roof, and put over the top of the rod that the feeders were on. It works and I don’t have to worry about that no more.
Our church is having a supper fundraiser to build a Church in India. They don’t have many Churches there and people walk many miles to hear the Gospel. A church can be built in India for $5,000. I’m really excited about this. I will let you know how much was raised next time.
