March surely did come in like a lot of roaring lions with high winds. Power lines were down everywhere, had some fires and thousands were without power in Patrick and Henry County. I know they worked hard to get everyone’s power on. Thank you!
I made it fine; camped out at Larry and Teresa’s for a few nights. Thanks to all who checked on me here, and Mary Ann from D.C. checked on us often. During the outage, it was a blessing that restaurants and gas stations had power so folks could buy gas and hot meals. Coffee was a blessing.
Thanks to Larry and Teresa Martin for letting me camp out at night with them. Thanks to a nice gentleman who paid for my breakfast at On The Run. I wish I could thank you in person. Thanks to Jessica at Elizabeth’s for my lunch one day.
“Miss Claudine” Wood on the mountain made it through the wind storm okay. Her family and friends were taking good care of her. She can make it better if the sun is shining.
I got a big surprise when the UPS man came to my house three times in two days with lots of lovely Amish books, an Amish coloring book and colored pencils. Thanks to Beverly and Mark Woody. I got to talk with Beverly one night.
Love and prayers to the Simmons family in the loss of their son. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time.
I got to see Jerry and Rhonda Morgan on Monday – missed seeing them on Friday at the Jesus House.
Happy birthday to a special person on the mountain, Lanita Howell Harris. May God bless you with many more.
It was really good to hear Pastor Mike McPeak preach again.
The men’s ministry really had a good meal on Wednesday night. They did stir fry. Thank you for all the work you do.
A thought until next time: if God is willing to move your mountain, don’t tell him where to put it.
Hint – the ratio for a vinaigrette is typically 3 parts oil to one part water.

I saw this saying the other day: People want the front of the bus, the back of the church and the center of attention.
