I trust that everyone had a nice Thanksgiving with family and friends.
A lot of special things happened before Thanksgiving. The soup kitchen made 120 meals and volunteers delivered. Linda Roberts helped me on my route and we delivered 15 meals and spent some time with each one.
Van and Donna Rowe wish to thank everyone for all the things that was donated for the meal—nine turkeys, five hams, lots of pumpkin pies, brownies, puddings, cranberry sauce, juices, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, and there’s probably something I missed. Also, they wish to thank all of the wonderful volunteers that worked so hard to make it possible.
Linda and I enjoyed doing this and spending time with the people.Meadows of Dan had their Christmas parade and it’s always good and they also do a Thanksgiving dinner every year which is a big hit. Lots of blessings are going around in Patrick County.I have a new dog friend that visits me every day—morning and evening. I think he lives in the blueberry patch. His eyes are two colors—one white, one brown, and he’s so friendly and sweet. I enjoy his visits.I surely did enjoy hearing Donna Rowe’s son on Patrick County Blessings on WHEO, tell how he changed his lifestyle and lost 200 pounds. It was nice to meet him and his wife at the soup kitchen.I will enjoy wearing my jewelry that Caroline Laprad gave me. It is beautiful. Thank you! Thanks to my neighbors, the Hiatts and the Simmons family, for their kindness to me. I do have the best neighbors ever.On Thanksgiving, I traveled down near Bassett to be with my sister-in-law, Hilda Nittler and her family. It was so good to see everyone, and all the little children had grown so much.It was nice to see Juanita Mengelt again. Love and prayers to you.Larry and Teresa Martin worked really hard on their annual Thanksgiving supper for their entire family. I was honored to be there also. What a delicious meal they had prepared! Thank you!.Think about this. Rest is a gift—a good gift from our Creator who knows exactly what we need. Christ is the door that keeps us in and keeps the dangers out. Thank you, Father, for the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are standing watch over the events of our lives.
