October is going by really fast isn’t it? So much is going on that I guess we lose track of time.
Homecoming at Patrick Springs Pentecostal Holiness Church was really nice with a large crowd, lots of good foods and good fellowship, the guest singers were good.
Heartfelt sympathy goes out to the Brown family in the loss of their son. Keep them in your prayers.
It was good to have some down time with Alan Rakes and to talk with him. He is amazing with his knowledge of the Bible and Hebrew teachings.
Guess I’m still celebrating- Beverly Wooly came by and brought me some beautiful mums and visited a while.
Mary Simmons came by and we had a good visit. Thanks for the pear preserves. They are delicious.
Had a nice birthday card from up Meadows of Dan way from LaNita Harris. We grew up together and built some nice playhouses. That was the good old days.
Dorothy Vipperman has a way of surprising people. She brought a bunch of food to the food ministry at church. When unpacking, there was a white envelope in the bottom — $10, in it for my birthday. What a nice surprise. I’m so blessed.
Had a nice letter from my step-son who lives in Moorehead City, N.C. From the big flood, they got a foot of water-had no power, no mail service, no phone for a week. Most stores were closed and a curfew was in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Sure is a lot going on these day isn’t it?
The Men’s Ministry at church cooked tacos with all the trimmings-sure was a big plate of food-thank you.
Let’s keep all the people being affected by all the rain and floods in our prayers.
Food For Thought-Mark Twain said — If we were supposed to talk more than we listen, we would have two mouths and one ear.
