Things are getting back to normal after a lot of high winds and widespread power outages over the county. We should appreciate the workers because it is dangerous for them to be out in those bad winds.
Pastor Joe Cerino has started his spiritual warfare classes. There were several churches there. Come and join the class – Sundays at 4 p.m., lasts about one hour.
I was so happy to get a letter from the Lapp family who live in Ronk, Penn. (my Amish friends.) They are real busy this time of year. I’ll never forget my visit with them in their home.
The Food Ministry was so blessed this week – pick up load of bread, Van brought veggies, and Wal-Mart shared a lot with us.
Guess I’m still celebrating my 85th birthday – still getting cards and money. Thank you so much. Danny and Mary gave me a unique card – never had one like that.
I sure did enjoy going to the Revival Services at New Beginnings Church. They make you feel welcome. I always try to go when Pastor Rayton Puckett comes I use to listen to him on radio WPAQ in Mount Airy, N.C. when I was a young girl. He’s still traveling and going strong carrying on God’s Word and can tell some interesting experiences.
I’ll have to brag on The Soup Kitchen, the tomato soup was the best I ever ate. Keep up the good work.
I was so sorry to hear that Donna Rowe lost her beloved dog, “Miss Mollie” last week. Miss Mollie was getting very old and hard for her to walk. Donna dressed up so cute – lots of good memories with Miss Mollie.
“Miss” Claudine Wood is very thankful for the sunny days. She tells me the leaves aren’t changing much on the mountain.
I had a nice note from Gary Marshall telling me all the work that a dozen of distant cousins did at the old Topeco Cemetery in Floyd County. I enjoyed a visit there once.
Food for thought – Abraham Lincoln said, “I have been driven to my knees many times when I had nowhere else to go.”
