Mr. Dale Thaxter Gammons, age 68 of Kernersville, NC, went to be with the Lord Saturday, April 11, 2020 after battling a lengthy illness. He was born in Patrick County on January 12, 1952 to the late Elder Thaxter Gammons and Mae Juanita Anderson Gammons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Anderson Gammons. Dale loved the Lord, fishing, woodworking, racing, and Bluegrass music.
Surviving are his loving wife of 48 years, Nancy Gray Gammons of the home; one daughter, Alyson Gammons of the home; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Alan Mitchell of Claudville, Donna King of Rural Hall, NC, Faye and Dwight Jessup of Claudville, Teresa and Dean McCormick; four brothers and sisters-in-law, W. Aldrich and Geraldine Gammons of Winston-Salem, NC, Kennith Gammons of Stuart, Timothy and Elecia Gammons of Claudville, Thomas and Karen Gammons of Kernersville; numerous nieces and nephews; his special fur babies, Ziggy, Orion, Penny; and a host of other family and friends.
