Mr. Jordan LanBert Blankenship , age 26 of Stuart, passed away Sunday, March 8, 2020. He was born in Roanoke on June 21, 1993 to Michael and Tisice Turner Blankenship of Stuart. He was preceded in death by a sister, Kayla Elizabeth Turner; and his maternal grandmother, Githa Turner. Jordan was a 2011 graduate of Patrick County High School where he was on the wrestling team. He worked at Ten Oaks in Stuart and was a member of the Bassett Rescue Squad. He loved hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother. He was the greatest friend any brother or sister could ask for.
Surviving in addition to his parents are his wife, Kayla M. Blankenship of Bassett; one son, Kase Asher Blankenship of Bassett; one step-daughter, Liliana Harper Davis of Bassett; paternal grandparents, Delbert and Geraldine Blankenship of Bassett; maternal grandfather, Landis Turner of Patrick Springs; one sister and brother-in-law, Savanna and Jeremy Gutshall of Stuart; one brother, Michael A. Blankenship and his soulmate, Amanda George of Patrick Springs; nieces and nephews, Michael Cornelius Blankenship, RyLeigh Elizabeth Vaughn, Kathryn Alexis Vaughn, Lucas Jeremiah Gutshall; four aunts, Regina Hodges, Charlene Blankenship, Candy Turner, Teresa Turner; and numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 12:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Ted Turner officiating. Burial will be private.
