Mr. Willie Sanders Penn was born December 5, 1950 in Patrick County to James and Mary Maggielene Penn. He departed this life on February 9, 2021. He attended Patrick Central and Hardin Reynolds Schools in Patrick County. He worked for Stovall Brothers LLC for 53 years. He loved working outside and logging. Willie was married to the love of his life Virginia Hylton Penn and to this union one child was born. Mr. Penn was preceded in death by his father, James Penn; one son, Pedro Penn; and one grandson, Terrance Hylton.
Willie is survived by his mother, Mary Maggielene Penn three daughters, Rhonda Penn (Allen) of Patrick Springs, VA, Patricia Hargrave (Quentin) of Mount Airy, NC, Cristy Spencer (Jo) of Patrick Springs, VA; two sons, David Barnwell (Anita) of Critz, VA, and Gregory Penn of Stuart, VA, one stepdaughter, Sonya Barnwell of Spencer, VA; sixteen grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one sister, Mary Ellen Penn (Franklin) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service for Mr. Penn will be held on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in Patrick Memorial Gardens with Pastor Avery J. Preston presiding. Friends may pay their final respects on Tuesday, February16, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
