Mrs. Pauline Quesinberry Wood

Mrs. Pauline Quesinberry Wood, age 92, of Meadows of Dan passed away Friday, August 7, 2020 at Sovah Health of Martinsville. She was born on May 5, 1928, in Carroll County to the late Edmund Waller Quesinberry and Gillie Francis Hendrick Quesinberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maynard Penn Wood; her second husband, E.L. “Esmond” Wood; three sisters, Gladys Puckett, Glenis Bowman, Beulah Sowers; and four brothers, Cecil, Clive, Herbert, and Haden Quesinberry. Pauline had retired from JP Stevens and had also worked at Hall’s Plants and Produce in Ararat, VA.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Carroll and Bonnie Wood of Woolwine, Dwight and Alice Wood of Stuart; three grandchildren, Kevin D. Wood, Lori Morrison and husband, Michael, Dwayne S. Wood; four step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; 11 step great-grandchildren; one sister, Ila Mae Hall of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, August 9, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. Following Covid19 guidelines, friends may come by Moody Funeral Home in Stuart on Saturday from 12 to 5 to pay their respects. Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
