Mrs. Shelby Jane Beasley Belcher, age 80 of Woolwine, Virginia passed away at her home on Friday, January 8, 2021. She was born in Patrick County on October 15, 1940 to the late Roy Beasley and Susie Gibson Beasley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Coy Belcher; one brother, Tim Beasley; and one sister-in-law, Lee Beasley.
Mrs. Belcher is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Carol Jane and Jimmy Hall; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Sandra Belcher; five grandchildren, Eric Belcher, Chris and LeeAnn Harris, Cameron and Rhena Belcher, Brian Hall, and Dana and Travis Worley; nine great-grandchildren, Sierra Belcher, Coy Aiden Belcher, Camden Belcher, Janiyah Taylor, Caleb Hall, Ashley Hall, Tucker Worley, Ethan Worley, and Cole Worley; two sisters, Dorothy and Charlie Chaney, and Eliza Beasley; one brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Glenda Beasley, four sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law, Erma Adams, Bernice and Brenda Belcher,Frances Belcher and Dorothy Belcher; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for Mrs. Belcher will be held on Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in Jacks Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Shaun Draughn officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smith River Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 122, Woolwine, VA 24185.
