Mrs. Stella Gay Belcher Conner, age 92 of Woolwine, passed away Monday, July 20, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born in Patrick County on March 18, 1928, to the late Greely and Nancy Conner Belcher. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Conner was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Harless Conner; three brothers, Leonard, Delmer and John Belcher; and three sisters. Mary Conner, Evadell Clark and Velda Smart. Mrs. Conner enjoyed cooking, loved everyone, and adored her family.
Mrs. Conner is survived by two sons, Richard H. Conner and wife, Martha and Raymond L. Conner and wife, Nancy, all of Woolwine; four grandchildren, Gary Conner, Steven Conner and wife, Kathy, Jamey Conner and wife, Tabitha, and Janie Collins and husband, Tim; one step-grandson, Jeff Ratcliffe; nine great-grandchildren; two step-great-great grandchildren; one brother, Joseph Maynard Belcher of Stuart; one brother-in-law, Glenn Clark of Fieldale; one sister-in-law, Veva Scott of Meadows of Dan; and several nieces and nephews.
