Mrs. Zelma Nunn Doss, age 90 of Stuart, Virginia passed away at Central Continuing Care Nursing Home in Mount Airy, North Carolina on December 22, 2020. She was born in Patrick County on April 6, 1930 to the late William “Abe” Nunn and Laler “Cindy” Smart Nunn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Doss, son Donnie Doss, daughter-in-law Patricia Doss, and ten siblings, Essie Inman, Lillian Bowman, Cubie McCormick, R.C. Nunn, Kermit Nunn, Bordie McMillon, Ordie Underwood, Virgie Hazelwood, Odell Slate, and Myrtle Nunn.
Mrs. Doss is survived by three sons, Phil Doss of Knoxville, Tennessee, Dennis Doss of Stuart, Virginia, and Ronnie Doss and wife Charlene of Westfield, North Carolina; four grandchildren, Ian Doss of Knoxville, Tennessee, Renee Quesenberry and husband Richard of Radford, Virginia, Brianna Clingner and husband Daniel of Rome, Georgia, Ryan Doss of Westfield, North Carolina; great-granddaughter Charlotte Clinger of Rome, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Doss will be held on Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM at Stuart Church of Christ at Dry Pond with Aaron Blackard officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.
