My America

The Enterprise by The Enterprise

My America claims to be a “Christian” nation, followers of Christ who preached love.
My America may have been founded by white men, but it was built on the backs of their wives, slaves and immigrants.
My America used to have balanced news sources—enforced by law—where if they showed people on the left misbehaving, they would have reminded you of how people on the right have been misbehaving since this election cycle began. The news didn’t used to be filled with exaggeration and lies when we had the Fairness Doctrine and more than few corporations owned the news sources. Those laws were repealed in the 1980s.
My America used to be filled with working class people who made middle class wages because their work was valued and paid for accordingly. Now the working class is spit on and called lazy and entitled because they shipped your jobs overseas—where they can pay slave wages and keep the rest of the money for themselves.
Now you have low wage jobs (because apparently manufacturing is the only working class job that should pay well) and if you ask for more money they say you want “wealth redistribution” and they replace you with robots. If you have to have government assistance, they conveniently forget that there are so few good paying jobs, and continue to call you names.
Of course, where anyone expects to sell goods or services when everyone is broke is beyond me.
