There was a good turnout for the local commemoration of the National Day of Prayer, held outside the courthouse in Stuart on May 4.
Led by Pastor Wayne Moore of the Patrick County Ministerial Association, the event began with singing, followed by prayers for those in government, first responders and the military, the media, schools and families. (By Pat Delaney)
