The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office held its traditional National Night Out Aug. 2, thanking the people of the county for their support with free food, music and swimming at DeHart Park. Plenty of people also thanked the law enforcement officers for their service in protecting the county. Pictured are deputies grilling hot dogs for the crowd that turned out.At the National Night Out hosted by the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office, people lined up for hot dogs with all the trimming, chips, cookies and drinks. Sheriff’s office personnel kept the tables well supplied..Children waited their turns to get the extras on their hot dogs, served by members of the sheriff’s office.The band 180 Degrees was among the musicians providing entertainment at the National Night Out sponsored by the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office Aug. 2.No one seemed to mind waiting in line for the picnic meal at DeHart Park, served by the Patrick County Sheriff’s Office last Tuesday, because it was a good time to talk with neighbors and relax.
