The Patrick County Sheriff’s Office will host the local National Night Out event at DeHart Park on August 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will include free swimming and a hotdog cookout with snacks and drinks.
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes law enforcement-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides an opportunity to bring law enforcement and neighbors together under positive circumstances.
