The Virginia Quilt Museum is opening a new exhibit on April 20. Artists from across the country are featured in this new, one time only show.
“The museum is pleased to offer a juried exhibition for the first time ever, and we are so excited to be working with juror, Marcia Young of Fiber Arts Now,” said, Susan Farmer, executive director of the Virginia Quilt Museum. “We are also happy to have Artistic Artifacts as the sponsor of this show. We think this is going to be a really interesting exhibit.”
This exhibit encourages exploration of the creation of art with “No Boundaries.”
Artists were invited to interpret the theme in an original piece of fiber-based artwork. Boundaries may be limited by physical, geographical, or even emotional restrictions. Boundaries can keep things in or keep things out.
The Virginia Quilt Museum is the Official Quilt Museum of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Founded in 1995, the museum’s mission is to “cultivate and preserve the quilting arts in Virginia.” The museum’s three floors of rotating exhibits are open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is located at 301 S. Main St. Harrisonburg, VA.
