Dr. Richard Cole, owner of Patrick County Family Practice, announced a new urgent care facility will be opening in Patrick County.
The Patrick Urgent Care Clinic is slated to open on April 15. Renovations currently are underway at the facility that is located at 835 Woodland Drive, Suite 201A, Stuart.
While it is not an emergency department and will not have the capability of accepting ambulances, service providers at the clinic will provide typical walk-in urgent care services, including X-Ray, Ultrasound, Bone Densitometry, IV services and Stat Lab testing, according to a release.
“This is a major expansion of our services. It’s not an Emergency Room. We won’t be accepting 911 ambulance runs. We should be able to care for most of the problems formerly seen at our local” emergency department, Cole said.
Another exciting service available at the clinic includes a Skin and Body Sculpting Clinic, which will offer body sculpting, scar removal, hair removal, wrinkle treatments, skin discoloration treatments and vaginal rejuvenation, the release stated.
Since the closing of Pioneer Hospital and Pioneer Family Clinic in September 2017, Patrick County Family Practice (PCFP) has worked tirelessly to meet the health care needs of the citizens of Patrick County and surrounding areas.
The loss of the hospital and family clinic left a serious void. As a result, in November 2017, the family practice clinic extended hours of operation to include Saturdays and taking walk-in patients.
The new urgent care facility is in keeping with that spirit of community service, according to the release.
Patrick County Family Practice and Patrick Urgent Care Clinic are very excited about this new endeavor and continuing their commitment to providing the citizens of Patrick County and surrounding areas with quality and dedicated health care services.
