Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care provides compassionate end-of-life care for terminally ill patients, and that care is delivered by a team of professional staff, nurses, and physicians. But Mountain Valley Hospice also depends upon volunteers to augment that care, and today, the need for volunteers is greater than ever, especially in Surry, Yadkin, and Wilkes counties, as well as in Southwest Virginia.
“We are serving an increasing number of patients and their families, and that’s why we are actively recruiting volunteers”, said Sheila Jones, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care. “That’s why we hope folks in this area will make volunteering part of their New Year’s resolution, by becoming a patients Miracle. Many patients and patient families need an extra pair of hands.
