JAMES WATSON SNIDER
James Watson Snider, age 58, of Patrick Springs, passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born in Patrick County on April 3, 1960, to the late Watson Sanford Snider and Lucy Mae Shough Snider. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Felisha Poindexter.
He is survived by his children, Jamie Lee Snider and wife, Ariana, of Bluefield, West Virginia, Christopher Snider, of Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania, Deanna Snider, of Patrick Springs, and Aaron Snider of Bassett; and four grandchildren, Matthew Snider, Isabela Snider, Kira Barker, and Serenity Cassell.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 2, 2018, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 7 p.m. in Stuart with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home Thursday evening. TELITHA “TEENY” ERNESTINE LAWLESS
Telitha “Teeny” Ernestine Lawless, age 94, of Stuart, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018, at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. She was born on December 4, 1923, in Henry County to the late Jacob Raymond Harris and Martha Francis Cox Harris Winn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Adolphus Daniel Lawless; one son, Randall Jacob Lawless; and two brothers, Raymond Lindburg “Lindy” and Drewry Calvin Harris. She was a longtime member of Sycamore Baptist Church.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Rena L. and Glenn Edwards, of Martinsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Lee and Karen Lawless, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; two grandchildren, Edward Haynes, Ashley Marie Cherry and husband, Trent; two great grandchildren, Daniel Nicholas “Nick” and Molly Lynn Cherry; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 30, 2018, at Sycamore Baptist Church with the Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Paul Linford Vipperman, Sr,. age 52, of Patrick Springs, passed away at his home on Saturday, July 28, 2018. He was born in Patrick County on October 16, 1965, to the late John Henry Vipperman and Elvie Lee Hooker Vipperman. He was an auto mechanic most of his life and loved NASCAR Racing.
He is survived by one son, Paul Linford Vipperman, Jr., of Patrick Springs; two step-daughters, Elizabeth Boyd, of Stuart, and Kimberly Sowers, of Richmond; four brothers, Henry Vipperman (Ann) of Bassett, Jim Vipperman (Eva) of Patrick Springs, James Vipperman of Patrick Springs, and Amos Vipperman (Connie) of Patrick Springs; four sisters, Shirley Leath, of Stuart, Glennie Clifton (Sanford), of Patrick Springs, Bonnie Reynolds, of Walkertown, N.C., and Mary Quesenberry (Daniel), of Spencer; two step-grandchildren; 20 nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and nephews, and special friends, Bill Leath, of Patrick Springs, and Mitch Vestal of Walkertown, N.C.
