The annual Patrick County Agricultural Fair is set for September 18 through September 22 with special events each night.
General admission is $5 adults, $3 youth, and children three and younger are free. All military in uniform are free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., rides are open from 6 to 10 p.m. Special events in amphitheater, adult admission is $10, youth $5.
The Patrick County Fair Pageant will be held on Saturday, September 15 at the Patrick County High School auditorium.
Fair entries will be accepted on Sunday, September 16 at Rotary Field from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Monday, September 17 is VIP night (ticketed event) with exhibitors from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
Tuesday is youth night with free admission for ages 6-18 years. There is a wrist band ride special with coupon available. A pizza eating contest will be held, goat show at 6 p.m. in the animal barn, 4-H food cooking challenge at 7 p.m., and a Mud Boggin’ (ticketed event) at 7 p.m.
Wednesday night there will be a sheep show at 6 p.m. in the animal barn, music in the Hooker Building from 6 to 9 p.m.
Thursday night is senior night with free admission for those aged 60 years and up, dairy heifers/poultry/rabbit shows 6 p.m. in the animal barn, music in the Hooker Building from 6 to 9 p.m.
Friday night, horses in the animal barn, music in the Hooker Building from 6 to 9 p.m., rodeo (ticketed event) at 7 p.m. including sheep dog herding demo, muttin’ bustin’ for kids prior to the rodeo.
On Saturday, September 22, there is a young family matinee from 3 to 6 p.m. Families with youngsters aged 10 and younger are free. Admission for families from 3 to 5 p.m., beef cattle show at 6 p.m. in the animal barn, Bingo in the Hooker Building from 6:30 to 9 p.m., kids power wheels derby (ticketed event) at 6 p.m. and demolition derby (ticketed event) at 7 p.m.
