The Patrick County High Cougars traveled to Glenvar on October 24 to face the unbeaten Highlanders who came into the game 8-0, outscoring their opponents 366-29. They opened the scoring with a touchdown toss with 9:53 to go in the first quarter, then added 35 more points to take a 42-0 lead into halftime.
The Cougars got on the board in the third quarter with a 38-yard, Calvin Lancaster touchdown run, but Glenvar would later add to their lead, finishing the game with the 56-6 win.
Defensively, Jackson Callahan led the Cougars with 12 tackles. Jayden Corns, Glenn Stovall and Wheeler Helms each chipped in 5 tackles.
Avone Kidd finished with 64 yards rushing on 14 carries and Calvin Lancaster had 64 yards on 11 carries.
The Cougars will close out the regular season on October 31 at home against James River.
