The message you are about to read was given to me, Servant Curtis Leander Pilson, on February 23rd by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. The theme of this message is to awake or awaken; more commonly, to “wake up!”
The Lord says in Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Don’t limit my God by putting Him in a box! Isaiah 64:4 tells us, “For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.” Habakkuk 1:5 says, “Behold ye among the heathen, and regard, and wonder marvellously: for I will work a work in your days, which ye will not believe, though it be told you.” As I am praying and thinking about writing this article, I believe that some people – still, after thousands of years – don’t believe the Word of God is true. Rather, they believe it’s a myth and is “just another book.” It is the Living Word of Life! God created the body so that it would heal after a cut. He made it so that a broken bone would mend back together, that hair would continue to grow on your head, that you could breathe air in your lungs, and that the blood in your veins would flow continually through your body. He gave you eyes to see, ears to hear, a mouth to speak, and a heart to keep all these things moving…
Are you getting my point?
2 Timothy 3:16 says, “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.” And 2 Peter 1:20 & 21 says, “Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.” The Bible is The Living Word of God. We have got to really believe and trust the words that are written in it. We need to change our minds and thought processes so that when we need help, we will know Who and What to turn to. The Bible is the Spirit of God and that is what we have got to be moved by. God is about to do things in and through His Church that have never been done before. It’s not about a man, a denomination, or a church name; it’s about the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. We have got to be within God’s timing and purpose for the Kingdom of God. We have got to get rid of the “stinking thinking” and renew our mind! We have got to renew our mouth! We have got to start using the Word of God to defeat what the devil is trying to do to us and through us. The only way to defeat the enemy is with the truth of God’s Word. We are at war, but the battle is the Lord’s. The world sins, but God will redeem His people. The struggles are real, whether is it pain, oppression, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, anger, adultery, drug addiction, homosexuality; whatever the giant, stronghold, or battle is in our lives, we must learn how to fight.
Repeat with me, we must learn how to fight!
Ephesians 6:10 begins with, “Finally, my brethren.” See, the Bible was written for Christians. That’s why some people read it and don’t understand. Choose this day who you are and whom ye will serve. Continuing with verse 10 & 11 of Ephesians 6, “Be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” Notice in the scripture that “God” is spelled with a capital “G,” while “devil” is spelled with a lowercase “d.” Verse 12, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” The devil is real, hell is real, demons are real, and that is why our fleshly body is no match against satan and his host of demons. Verses 13-18 tell us how we must prepare for the battle, and I have underlined certain things for emphasis: “Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, having on the breastplate of righteousness; and your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” This is how we fight our battles: through the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. When you want to win, decree and declare the Word of God! Use the Rules of Spiritual Engagement (ROSE) by putting on the whole, full armor of God!
If you are reading this article and don’t know Jesus as your Savior, you can repeat these words after me and, by faith, receive Jesus Christ into your life: Lord Jesus, forgive me of my sin. Save me from the destruction the devil has set up for my life, which leads to hell. Create in me a clean heart and a new spirit which is my mind, will, and emotions. Jesus, I ask You to live in me for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
If you said that prayer with me, welcome into the Kingdom of God! Now, find a church that’s teaching all 66 books of the Bible!
Until we write again; say on. Trust God! The Lord is Your Shepherd! And remember Romans 10:13, which tells us, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
