The award-winning novel and Broadway hit musical, “The Color Purple,” is coming to Martinsville/Henry County.
The Patriot Players first all-black cast fills the theater with the swelling sounds of gospel as they portray the time-honored message of love, family, and triumph.
Show times are: Friday and Saturday, July 29-30 at 7 p.m.; Sunday, July 31, 2 p.m.; Thursday-Saturday, August 4-6, 7 p.m.; and Sunday, August 7, 2 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased online at www.phccpatriotplayers.com/tickets, at the campus switchboard in West Hall, or in the Martinsville/Henry County Visitors Center at 191 Fayette Street in Martinsville.
General admission tickets purchased in advance are $15 or $20 at the door. Groups of more than ten people can call ahead to receive 10% off. Parent discretion is advised as the play includes mild language and adult themes.
